As you see we haven't posted an update for some time. It's not for lack of things to do but rather the inability to get anything done.
We were making excellent progress on the cabin, getting our berries in, and clearing trails through the woods. A couple of days after my last post in May I woke up with a very high fever and ended up spending a week in the hospital at deaths door. The fragility of life. Two months later I have yet to even visit the homestead much less make any progress. Thus the fact has been reinforced that we have to stick to the plan and get this thing done. I have to know that if something happens to me that my family is secure in a sustainable place where they can ride out this coming storm.
I am not stupid or naive. We face a very uncertain future with the economic collapse, changing weather patterns, natural disasters, and uprisings around the world.
